Every twelve years, millions of people come together to celebrate the largest pilgrimage in the world, the Maha Kumbhamela.

In sanskrit, Maha Kumbhamela means the Great meeting around the ocean of nectar.
This refers to the spiritual nectar that springs forth from the contact between thousands and thousands of Yogis and Masters that unite at the shores of the Ganges river every twelve years with the objective of purifying themselves and helps those who assist with energy and bounding knowledge so that they may transform their lives into that which they so desire.

The city of Haridwar is located just 40 minutes from Rishikesh where the Yoga House-Yogalaya Ashram is based, in the valley of the Rishis and the cradle of Yoga at a world level.

This year we are offering a very special program and opening applications to those who wish to begin a journey to the ancient land of India, to get to know it and participate in one of the most opportune events of their lives. Discover the ancient Vedic tradition through this celebration that has been carried out for thousands of years. It is a very auspicious event because the assistents will have the opportunity to participate in the sacred baths in the Ganges river, meet yogis and ancestral masters, receive their spiritual energy and participate in diverse religious events.

It is a unique opportunity to experiment this wonderful event, see the ceremonial parades, the official arrival of the saintly men mounted on elephants, horses, camels, cars, palanquins and carts which are sometimes pulled by men in a show of their devotion.
